Ethan Rhodes

President

Ethan joined his father at BSD right out of college and has done everything here at BSD, from loading trucks to selling Andersen windows and doors. He has spent his entire adult life working to build BSD into what we are today. Chances are, if you are a BSD customer, you can also call Ethan a friend. Ethan truly understands the importance of relationships in this industry and will move mountains to ensure that our customers are happy. He looks at all of our relationships with our customers as a partnership; if you succeed, we succeed. And we have a lot of fun together along the way.

Tara Rhodes

Vice President

Tara joined her husband Ethan and Father-in-Law Mike in the family business at BSD in 2023.

Tara retired from IBM after 25 years of service. Her background at IBM was in Consulting, helping large corporations with software selections and ERP Implementations, as well as process redesign and engineering. She then moved into the finance organization, where she held various positions. She is excited to bring that knowledge to BSD.

Tara grew up in Georgetown, DE. She went to the University of Delaware, has an MBA in Finance, and holds a certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society! Ethan and Tara live in Rehoboth Beach and have two daughters. In their free time, they enjoy spending time in the water and sportfishing as much as possible!

Briana

Product Specialist

Briana’s love for construction and her career path started hands-on with her dad at 4 years old and has continued to grow. She has always had a love for “how to” fix everything. Briana attended Sussex Tech and ventured into a Construction Management degree at Del Tech with assistance from Contractor’s For a Cause, Plumber Pipefitters Local 74, and NAWIC Scholarships. She has been married for 5 years and has two children. Her hobbies include building, hunting, fishing, riding horses, and caring for many animals around their homestead.

She has worked with BSD for 10 years in many different roles. Starting in BSD’s installation department, assisting with bidding jobs and coordinating. Briana then began working with the service department, ordering parts, coordinating service appointments with homeowners and builders, and providing onsite resolutions herself. She helped fellow millwork employees when she was a part of the estimating department. She is currently a BSD Millwork Product Specialist! She is one of the first faces you will see upon entering the showroom. Brianna can dissect your blueprints and walk you through all aspects of the new showroom with the level of knowledge and customer service that BSD prides itself on providing.

Greg

Installed Sales

Greg was born in Queretaro, Mexico, raised in multiple cities in Texas, and moved to Pennsylvania before moving to Lewes, DE. He also speaks fluent Spanish. He has been Married for 13 years to his lovely wife and has four children: three girls and one boy. Greg has been in the construction business for 14 years, starting with remodeling homes in PA. He started working for BSD in 2018 with our installation department and now completes all estimates for our installation department. Greg enjoys bringing customers’ vision to life.

Hobbies include: crab fishing, canoeing with the kids, playing guitar, and golfing.

Derrick

Estimating

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he attended Kean University on a football scholarship. He is an Air Force veteran, which brought him to Delaware. He began working at Dover Hardware and, after several years, began working at Lowes.

He has been an integral part of the BSD team for 18 years. Having worked inside and outside sales and is currently working in our estimating department.

Derrick has been active in the community with the local Boys and Girls Club and has been coaching youth football for 17 years.

Michelle

Shipping and Receiving

Michelle moved to Sussex County from Staten Island, NY, with her family in 2021. With over five years of experience in logistics, she is a fantastic addition to our team. She’s eager to learn and has been diligently mastering the ins and outs of her new role as a Shipping and Receiving Assistant.

Michelle enjoys reading and listening to music during her downtime, with Electric Light Orchestra as her favorite band.

Dawn

Accounts Receivable

Dawn was born and raised in Carlisle, PA, where she lived until three years ago when she and her husband, Steve, moved to Georgetown. In 2022, they decided to move closer to the beach—and that’s exactly what they did.

Dawn joined BSD in September 2023 and currently works in the Shipping and Receiving department. She brings over 20 years of experience in shipping and receiving to the team.

In her free time, Dawn and Steve enjoy riding their Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Trike, spending time at the beach, watching movies, and catching up with family in Pennsylvania. At home, they are doting cat parents to four beloved felines who mean the world to them.

Jessica

Install Coordinator

Jessica has been with BSD for 2 years. A local born and raised, she grew up in Frankford, DE, riding horses and raising chickens. She graduated from Indian River High School in 2014, where she was active in FFA. Jessica went on to attend Delaware Technical and Community College, earning dual associate’s degrees in business administration and business management.

Outside of work, Jessica dedicates her time to the rescue rehabilitation and adoption of Sussex County’s cat population. She specializes in raising neonatal kittens but also helps with trapping, neutering, releasing, and caring for feral cat colonies.

At BSD, Jessica works closely with our installation department and cabinetry designers. Give Jessica a call to schedule an estimate; she is always eager and happy to help.

Kenny

Sales Manager

Kenny joined BSD in January with over 34 years of industry experience and quickly acclimated to our team. Previously, he was the operations manager for two retail and installation businesses in the lumber supply and kitchen and bath industries.

Jenna

Comptroller

Jenna was born and raised in Sussex County, DE. In fact, Jenna’s family has called Sussex County home for seven generations. Jenna began working in the building industry in 2019. She joined BSD in 2020 and is currently heading up our accounting team. She has a strong background in customer service and is currently working to achieve her bachelor’s degree in business. Jenna is also a busy Mother of two boys and an energetic puppy. During her free time, she enjoys crabbing, camping, photography, and tending to her chickens.

Ernie

WH Manger

Ernie has been with BSD for 13 years. He was born in Washington, DC, and was raised in Laurel, MD, until he and his family moved to Milford in 2002. He currently lives in Dover. Ernie battled cancer in 2021 and had to take a year off at BSD but returned after he got the great news that he was cancer-free. Ernie has been married for 31 years to his wife, Cassie. They have one son, two daughters, and two grandsons.

Pete

Estimating

Pete was born and raised in Millsboro, DE, and he has always lived within a 10-mile radius of the farm where he grew up. Pete has over 45 years of industry experience. He started in the trade early in his career, completing 4 years of study in distributive education that led to working at a hardware and lumber business after graduation. He married his wife, Mona, in 1994. They have four children and numerous grandchildren. Pete is a huge 49ers fan. He loves camping, playing golf, and trips to the mountains.

Mike

Product Specialist

Mike grew up in South Jersey and started with the carpenter’s union at the age of 18. He moved to Delaware in 1989. Mike has been in the construction industry, carpentry, and building material industry his entire adult life—many of those years with BSD. Mike has three teenage boys. He enjoys surf-fishing and playing golf. On a nice day, you’ll find him riding his Harley.

Carla

Kitchen and Bath Coordinator

Carla was born in Washington, DC, and spent much of her childhood moving from the East to the West Coast until her parents decided it was time to settle back in DC.   Soon, she discovered the beaches of Delaware while vacationing with friends in her late 20s and decided to call it home.

After a 30-year career as a graphic designer, it was time for a change. She had an interest in the building industry and was lucky enough to join BSD in 2018. Her interests include travel, history, photography, and cooking.

Jim

Kitchen and Bath Designer

Jim spent the first 25 years of his career in corporate retail and brand design presentations for department stores, Nike, and Calvin Klein. His focus was creating and executing the brand vision for experiential customer environments at retail. He then translated that experience into the retail technology arena, where he sold and implemented state-of-the-art 3D visual design and merchandising software, transforming the way retailers and brands presented their identities to mass markets.

Finally, Jim culminated all this experience into residential interior design in 2021, and the rest, as they say, is history. He joins the BSD team to cultivate and grow our cabinetry division, creating kitchens, baths, mudrooms, and more.

Jim grew up in New England and Western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh and went on to spend 20+ years in corporate New York City. He has been coming to Rehoboth Beach for 26 years and has been here permanently since 2020. Jim lives in Rehoboth Beach with his husband, John, an architect, and their dog, Levi. The family spends as much time together outdoors, enjoying all that coastal Delaware has to offer.

Dennis Morris

Account Executive and Product Specialist

This year, Dennis celebrates 26 years with BSD! Dennis was born and raised in Lewes, DE. His family, dating as far back as his great-grandparents, have lived here and are members of the local Nanticoke Indian Tribe. Dennis has been married for 23 years. He and his wife Amy have two daughters, two sons and one grandson. Dennis is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys Fan!

Dennis has been in Sales in the Building Supply Industry for over 37 years! We are grateful and fortunate that 26 of those have been with BSD! Dennis prides himself on providing superior customer service and is excellent at multitasking, two skills that are an absolute must in this business!

Don

General Manager

For over 20 years, Don has provided exceptional customer service to our clients at BSD. We have yet to find a problem that he cannot solve!

Don is a lifelong resident of Georgetown, DE, where he lived with his wife of 25 years before her passing in 2011. He has one daughter, Erika, and a granddaughter, Ava! He has been with his companion, Tracy, for 10 years. Tracy has three granddaughters: Sophia, Brianna, and Willow. Don enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren! He also enjoys golf and camping. 

Prior to joining BSD, Don worked in the commercial printing industry, where he served as a press operator, shift supervisor, production manager, and plant manager. He joined BSD in March of 2004 as our warehouse manager, then became our operations manager, and now General Manager.

Don works closely with all departments, including our Service and Installation departments, and all team members at all 2 of our locations.

Zach

Service Technician

Zach was born in Seaford, DE. He graduated from Seaford High School in 2018.

He then went on to study HVAC in Pittsburgh, PA. He joined BSD in 2020 as a warehouse helper and quickly advanced to delivery driver.

In 2023, he was promoted and trained to be a service technician. He is now an integral part of our service team servicing Andersen windows and doors throughout Delmarva.

In his free time, Zach enjoys going to the gym.
